OPENING HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER WAITING LIST.
If you need assistance in paying your rent, reside or work in Eaton county, your income falls within allowable limits, and the rental unit you choose to live in meets the Housing Quality Standards inspection and rental limits set forth by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), you may qualify for the program. Proof of residency or work in the County is required upon your name being drawn off the waiting list for assistance.
Potterville Housing Commission (PHC) Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list is currently open and accepting applications. You are only allowed one application per household. Applications are available on-line to print at www.pottervillehc.org. or at Housing Services Mid-Michigan – 319 S. Cochran, Charlotte, MI. No applications will be handed out in-person, by email, or by fax at the PHC office. Eligible applications received will be entered on the waiting list in the order received (date and time). Preference will be given and ranked in accordance with the PHC Administrative Plan.
Applications will be accepted via first class mail at: Parkview Terrace, 210 E. Main St., Potterville, MI 48876 or Ingham County Housing Commission, Carriage Lane Apartments, 3882 Dobie Road, Okemos, MI 48864. All applicants will be notified by mail to confirm that their application was received.
Once a voucher becomes available you will be contacted by Housing Commission by first class mail. Your eligibility for voucher assistance will be verified when your name is reached on the waiting list. Applicants already on waiting lists for other housing programs must apply separately for this program, and you will not lose your place on other waiting lists when you apply for the Voucher Program. You will not be able to exercise portability until you have lived in Eaton County for twelve months.

Effective July 1, 2018 smoking is prohibited in all property owned and operated by the Potterville Housing Commission ("PHC"). The smoking ban is intended to improve the quality of air and the safety of residents and employees. Implementation of a Smoke Free Policy is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and it is consistent with their program goals and objectives. There are NO exceptions to this policy. Smoking is only permitted in specifically designated outside areas.
